Meet Allison LMFT
It's time to stop just surviving and start truly living.
I'm Allison, and I help anxious overthinkers and exhausted empaths like you.
The ones that have it within themselves to feel calm, confident, resilient, and genuinely present in their lives, but just need the right support to get there.
I help my clients find peace, self-compassion, and authentic joy by equipping them with the tools and helping them remove blocks, so they can release the anxiety and self-criticism that's been running their lives and reclaim their energy and life force for what truly matters.
Many of today's solutions for anxiety and trauma are slow, solely talk-focused, and can take years without delivering real relief.
This leads so many people to feel like they understand their problems but still can't escape them.
That's why I use Brainspotting and EMDR—powerful, brain-based therapies that work at a completely different level than traditional talk therapy.
Talk therapy helps you understand your anxiety and trauma.
Brainspotting and EMDR help you release them—working directly with your brain and nervous system to create transformation at a deep neurological level.
If you're ready for something deeper, faster, and more transformative—I'm here to help.
This isn't about learning to cope; it's about dissolving distress at its source, often in just a few sessions.
Many of my clients have done years of therapy before finding me. They're amazed to discover that a handful of sessions using Brainspotting or EMDR give them more relief than decades of talking ever could.
I know that your circumstances are unique, so I customize my approach to meet your needs—giving you the support, tools, and techniques that will serve you best.
First, we identify what's truly keeping you stuck—the underlying traumas, beliefs, behaviors and nervous system patterns that are causing the anxiety, self-criticism, people-pleasing, and overwhelm you're experiencing. Then, we use these proven brain-based methods to process and release what's been holding you back at its source, so you can experience genuine calm, develop more confidence, and find the freedom to actually enjoy the life you've worked so hard to build.
My Journey to this work
I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, and over the years, I've had the privilege of working with clients for more than 10,000 hours—witnessing their courage, vulnerability, and strength as they heal and grow.
I also know what it’s like to be human, and work through my own challenges and know what it feels like to be stuck and want relief. I am deeply committed to my own continual personal growth–in fact the way I find most of the modalities I use are because I tried them and they worked for me. EMDR and Brainspotting made such a profound difference in my life, bringing relief that years of talk therapy couldn’t touch, and so I knew I had to share them with my clients.
I welcome all the big emotions—tears, grief, rage, fear. I'll sit with you through all of it, honor and celebrate your growth and life changing insights, and I’ve also been known to crack a joke or share a laugh when the moment calls for it.
I love having the privilege of truly seeing who my clients are at their core, get what they are up to in life, and help them to dust off all the crap they’ve accumulated that has wounded them and dimmed their sparkle. It is a great honor to watch them relax into calm, come to life, find their playfulness and humor, enjoy healthier relationships, and get more of what they want.

My Commitment
I am deeply committed to providing sensitive, respectful, affirming, and competent care to all of my clients, and welcome clients of all races, cultures, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, relationship types, abilities and backgrounds.
As a white, cisgender, heterosexual, able-bodied therapist, I acknowledge that my lived experience and privileges afforded to me by these aspects of my identity, and affect my perspective, and differ from many of the clients I serve. I am committed to continually learning, growing, self-reflecting and seeking consultation to recognize my blind spots, challenge my assumptions, and understand the systems of privilege and oppression that impact mental health and wellbeing.
What I most want is to create a therapeutic space where you feel safe to show up as your most authentic self, where your experiences, identities, and perspectives are honored and together we can help you heal and grow in a way that honors your identity and lived experience.
You don’t have to keep struggling.
You don’t have to settle for just getting by.
Let’s clear that path-so you can create the life you truly want.
You deserve it.
